There are only two lasting bequests we can hope to give our children. One of these is roots, the other, wings.

Christmas Day

We had a packed Christmas day this year. We had to wake the kids up at 8:30 to open their gifts, then off to church, home for brunch then off to Dan's parents' house for more gifts and supper. Jackson was very excited that Santa brought him a black ruler. He has told anyone who would listen that he hoped Santa would bring him a black ruler. Tough kid to please! Kailyn and Austin both didn't even have a Santa list this year. What does that say about them? Either they are very happy, content children who truly appreciate the true spirit of Christmas and celebrate the birth of Jesus as the greatest gift....or they are spoiled. I like to think it's somewhere in between maybe.....they appreciate what they have (usually) and are not materialistic (mostly). I missed my family this Christmas....wished the miles were fewer between us.

LOL poor Kailyn, she looks like she is sleeping sitting up...we all know she likes her sleep;) and Jackson..your ruler isn't far from you is it. You might have to count out your cars/trucks...too cute. Merry Christmas everyone...love and hugs xoxoxo
